Day 1: Arrival in Johannesburg
You will be picked up at Johannesburg airport and transferred to your hotel. Take a moment to set up, then you can have lunch.
Relax during a city tour in the afternoon and get to know Johannesburg better. Afterwards you can end the evening with a delicious dinner and look forward to your forthcoming adventure.
Day 2: From Johannesburg to Makalali Private Game Reserve
After breakfast your tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and you will continue to the province of Limpopo.
In the Makalali Game Reserve you can enjoy afternoon coffee on the banks of the Makhutswi River before your first game drive.
The reserve, considered a pioneer of eco-tourism, has reintroduced many native wildlife. In addition to the Big Five, you can see zebras, giraffes and even the threatened cheetahs. Keep the camera at hand when one of the rare animals crosses your path!
In the evening a delicious dinner awaits you in the beautiful lodge.
Day 3: From Makalali Private Game Reserve to the Drakensberg Mountains
Early the next morning you start on another game drive. Let yourself be enchanted by the morning atmosphere when the sun slowly rises and the African bush comes to life. Have you discovered the predatory cat lurking for its prey high up in the trees?
Afterwards you can look forward to a sumptuous breakfast in your accommodation and start the day. Your next destinations are the main attractions of the province - the Blyde River Canyon and the three Rondavels on the Panorama Route. Hike through the impressive gorges of the canyon and enjoy the fantastic views and unique natural phenomena.
In the evening you will reach the small village of Sabie, where you can relax and end the evening.
Day 4: Through the Kruger National Park to Swaziland
Another highlight awaits you in the morning - you drive into Kruger National Park. You spend the afternoon in the park, keep your eyes open for rare animal species! Which ones can you discover?
Afterwards the journey continues to Swaziland, where you will reach your hotel in the late afternoon. No matter if you want to spend the rest of the day with a round of golf, relax at the pool or maybe even in the casino, the Royal Swazi Spa leaves nothing to be desired.
PLEASE NOTE: Please ensure that you are in possession of a valid passport when entering Swaziland. Visas are only required for travellers from certain EU countries. Please check with your embassy before you start your journey. Visa fees are payable directly.
Day 5: From Swaziland to St. Lucia
You start the day with a relaxed breakfast, then visit a candle factory. Watch how the colourful candles are made - you might even find some souvenirs. Afterwards we continue to the art market, where you can expect great craftsmanship.
After lunch you will leave Swaziland and reach the Forest Lodge in St. Lucia in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Impressive iSimangaliso Wetland Park
Today you spend the whole day in the unique ecosystem of iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Your lodge is beautifully situated in a tropical garden and the ideal starting point for excursions.
Before breakfast you will go on a game drive in an open jeep. Look out for the Big Five, who are all there.
In the afternoon we continue by boat - numerous hippos and crocodiles are resident in the waters. There is hardly time to admire everything the park has to offer before continuing on to Durban in the afternoon.
Day 7: Flight to Port Elizabeth
Enjoy your breakfast and some free time here today. Take a walk along the beach promenade or enjoy the hustle and bustle of the colourful market.
You will then be picked up at the hotel and transferred to King Shaka International Airport, from where you will fly to Port Elizabeth.
Once you arrive at the hotel, you can take a few moments to set up before going to town for dinner.
Day 8: From the airport to Knysna
After breakfast the journey continues through the picturesque Tsitsikamma forests. Your first stop is the Storms River, where you take a short walk to the famous suspension bridge, from where you can enjoy a great view.
After lunch we continue to the lagoon town of Knysna. Look forward to a relaxed boat trip where you can taste the famous Knysna oysters. You drive towards the sunset with a tasty drink.
Afterwards you can end the day with a dinner in one of the beautiful restaurants directly on the shore.
Day 9: Excursion to Plettenberg Bay
Early in the morning you start your excursion to Plettenberg Bay. We start with a boat safari - have you ever had the opportunity to see dolphins, whales and seals? You will certainly enjoy watching the animals play!
After lunch you will visit the school and kindergarten in Qolweni Township. The income from the guided tours is used for the education of the children, e.g. they can buy pencils and exercise books.
Afterwards we return to Knysna, where you have the rest of the day to explore the beautiful town. A delicious dinner awaits you at the Knysna Waterfront in the evening.
Day 10: Knysna - Oudtshoorn
After breakfast the journey continues to Oudtshoorn. On the way there you will enjoy the wonderful view at the "Map of Africa", afterwards you will drive over the breathtaking Outeniqua Pass.
Look forward to a visit to an ostrich farm in the Cango Valley, where you will have lunch and a guided tour. Are you brave enough to ride one of the ostriches? It would certainly be an unforgettable experience.
In your comfortable accommodation a delicious dinner awaits you in the evening.
Day 11: From Oudtshoorn to Cape Town
After breakfast you can visit the beautiful olive farm and taste its delicacies. Walk through the beautiful plantations and then enjoy a glass of Rosé during an olive tasting.
In the afternoon you will get to know the extraordinary cave system of the Cango stalactite caves - one of the largest in the world!
Afterwards you continue your journey and reach Cape Town in the evening.
Day 12: Cape Town
After breakfast you set off on a day trip to explore the Cape Peninsula. Along the Atlantic coast you drive to the nature reserve at the Cape Point. Enjoy the fantastic nature and the great view of the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on your mood, you can also visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Late in the afternoon we return to the hotel, where you can enjoy a dinner together for the last time and review the wonderful journey together.
Day 13: End of the trip
After a delicious breakfast it is time to say goodbye. You will be driven back to the airport, where you will travel home with your luggage full of memories.
