Day 01 & 02: From Harare to Victoria Falls
Your adventure begins!
You will be picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel at Victoria Falls.
Use the afternoon to look around, before the tour starts in the evening. Your guide will take you to "The Boma - Dinner and Drum Show" - a great evening with a delicious buffet, spirited dance performances and an interactive drum show.
Look forward to another highlight the next morning - the impressive Victoria Falls! Over 100 meters the Zambezi River flows down the falls, a unique experience. Afterwards you hike through the rainforests along the waterfalls. Don't forget your camera, you have to capture this beautiful nature.
After lunch the day is at your free disposal, how about a boat tour on the Zambezi? If you seek for an adrenaline rush, you should dare to plunge down the Victoria Falls Bridge at 111 metres.
In the evening we return to town for a delicious dinner.
Day 03: From Victoria Falls to Binga
Early in the morning you leave Victoria Falls behind and continue your tour by bus. After a five and a half hour drive you will reach your accommodation, the Masuma River Lodge. Situated directly on the shores of Lake Kariba, the dreamlike lodge invites you to linger.
Relax by the pool or at the bar and enjoy the fantastic play of colours as the sun sets over the lake.
Day 04-06: Lake Kariba Cruise
The next morning you drive to the small town of Binga. There you can visit hot sulphur springs, the Tonga Culture Museum and a crocodile breeding station.
Later in the day you will be taken to the harbour where your 3 day cruise begins! Your houseboat leaves and takes you to the remote Chete Safari Area, where you can see a variety of wildlife. You can spend the afternoon fishing or simply enjoying the sun on deck.
Shortly before dawn we continue the next morning with a 13-hour boat trip across the Sengwe River Basin and through the Kota Kota Gorges. Use the day to relax, read or swim, or simply enjoy the nature and wildlife from the water.
Spend the afternoon and the following day on the shores of Matusadona National Park. The picturesque park lies off the beaten track and is almost untouched. Discover the numerous bird and animal species or visit a fishing village on the lakeshore.
Day 07: From Binga to Kariba
After breakfast you continue your journey and drive to Kariba.
Once arrived at the lodge you will have time to look around and relax by the pool.
You can enjoy lunch from the high terrace overlooking the lake and the mountain range behind - a fantastic view.
Explore the city of Kariba in the afternoon, besides a historic church and an impressive dam wall you should not miss to climb Kariba's highest vantage point. It rises 600 metres above the lake and offers an incomparable view.
You can spend the evening relaxing at the lodge and enjoying a fantastic dinner in the open-air restaurant.
Day 08-10: From Kariba to the Mana Pools National Park
After breakfast we continue by bus and then by boat. We drive down the mighty Zambezi River to Mana Pools National Park. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most remote and untouched game reserves in the world.
The next days you can expect unique nature experiences and animal sightings in unfenced areas. Game drives, bush walks and canoe trips lead you through the park - elephants, herds of buffalo, antelopes, hippos and numerous other animals will cross your path!
Your dreamlike accommodation is located in the middle of the reserve. Enjoy your breakfast with a view of the wild animals - simply amazing!
Day 11: From Mana Pools National Park to Selous
Unfortunately your days at Mana Pools National Park are already over, but your next accommodation leaves nothing to be desired.
First by boat and later by bus it goes on to Selous.
On the way you stop at one of Zimbabwe's best kept secrets - the Chinhoyi Caves. The fascinating limestone and dolomite caves and the cobalt blue, crystal clear water are a fantastic sight!
In the late afternoon you will reach Chengeta Safari Lodge. The quiet accommodation is equipped with attention to detail and is an oasis of tranquility. Enjoy your last evening with an excellent dinner overlooking the wilderness.
Day 12: From Selous back to Harare
One last cosy breakfast, then you can enjoy another game drive. Or visit Chengeta Primary and Secondary School and see where the company trains over 700 students.
Afterwards, you'll travel to Harare airport and start your journey home with unforgettable memories.
