Day 1: From Johannesburg to Krüger National Park

Your adventure finally starts at 6:30 am and you drive from Johannesburg to world famous Krüger National Park. Discover the rarely visited Northern part of the park from Letaba to Parufi and keep your camera ready for the most wonderful views. With a little bit of luck you will already see lions, elephants and rhinos and for sure many, many more wild animals.

You stay overnight in safari huts and enjoy the pure adventure.


Day 2: Fascinating Krüger National Park

Look forward to an interesting day which starts early. The Northern part of the national park is dominated by Mopane fields, home to huge elephant bulls, wild dogs and lions. Having arrived at Limpopo valley the vegetation changes, the forests are known for their bird diversity.

We leave Krüger National Park in the afternoon and spend the night at Awelani Lodge outside the park.


Day 3: Wonderful Zimbabwe

You cross the border from South Africa to Zimbabwe and drive northwards. En route we of course stop for lunch and to show you special places of interest.

You spend the night at Great Zimbabwe Hotel.


Day 4: Great Zimbabwe and further on to Matobo National Park

In the morning you visit the Great Zimbabwe monument and marvel at the well preserved ruins. During a hiking tour you local guide tells you many interesting things about the historic stone structures.

Now we drive on via Bulawayo and reach our chalets on the verge of Matobo National Park where we stay overnight. Look forward to the sunset with a great view over the park.


Day 5: Matobo National Park and on to Hwange National Park

This morning you visit World’s View and the historical site of Cecil John Rhode’s Grave. During our game drive and a hiking tour we also discover the antique bush paintings on the exceptional rock formations in this area. With a little bit of luck you may spot on of the Zimbabwe rhinos, so keep your eyes open.


Days 6 & 7: Discover Hwange National Park

Hwange National Park is the biggest park in Zimbabwe and well known for its huge elephant population. During game drives we explore this wonderful area and enjoy spotting the wild animals crossing our way.

You stay two nights at Miombo Safari Lodge.


Days 8 & 9: Fascinating Victoria Falls

The journey goes on to its next highlight, the Victoria Falls. Look forward to a spectacular hiking tour through tropical vegetation and the noise of the mighty waterfalls. On request and at your own costs you may add several activities like wild water rafting on Sambesi River, bungee jumping or the “Flight of the Angels”.

You spend the night at Rainbow Hotel.


Day 10: Further on to Chobe National Park

Today we leave Zimbabwe and cross the border to Botswana. After a short drive we reach our accommodation, Thebe River Safaris at the shore of Chobe River in Kasane. The river runs slowly along the Northern border of the national park and attracts some of the biggest elephant herds in whole Africa. Look forward to the boat tour “Sundowner” in the afternoon, a highlight of every journey to Chobe.


Day 11: From Chobe National Park to Nata

In the morning you go on another a game drive through Chobe National Park. In the afternoon we drive on southwards, through Kasane Forest Reserve to Nata.

You spend the night at Nata Lodge.


Days 12-14: Indescribable Okavango Delta

We drive on to Maun, the gate to Okavango Delta. With open safari vehicles and dugout canoes, so called Makoros, our guides will bring us to our camping site amidst the delta. Here we pitch camp for the next two nights on an island surrounded by trees.

In the mornings and afternoons we enjoy game walks with our local guides. During the heat of the day we relax at the camp or swim in the crystal clear water of the delta. Look forward to exploring Okavango Delta in all its glory.

On our third afternoon in the delta we return to Maun where you can optionally book a sightseeing flight over the delta. Here we stay overnight at Mochaba Crossing.


Day 15: Further on to Khama Rhino Sanctuary

Through the vastness of Kalahari Desert we now drive to Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This wildlife project commits itself to protecting the endangered rhinos and their whole environment. Keep your eyes open during our game drive in the afternoon, with a little bit of luck you may spot one of the rhinos.

You spend the night at the sanctuary.


Day 16: Back to Johannesburg

We drive back to South Africa and on to Johannesburg. Here your adventurous tour ends which has brought you so many wonderful and unforgettable memories.
