Management-Change at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro

New Manager couple will be running Severin Safari Camp from 01st of June

Sundern/Mombasa, May 2018: From the 1st of June 2018 Sylvia Rasemann and Léon Noordermeer take over the management of Severin Safari Camp at Tsavo West National Park in Kenya. The German/Dutch couple has years of experience in running African safari accommodations.

Severin Touristik GmbH gains two very experienced executives for maintaining excellent service and proximity to the guests. Léon Noordermeer began his career in various restaurants in France and the Netherlands and worked as an Operations Manager with focus on Food & Beverage at Swahili Beach Resort on the coast in Kenya. In 2011 he took over a General Manager position in Tanzania at Mapito Tented Camp in Serengeti National Park together with Sylvia Rasemann. She had her first General Manager position at Swahili Beach Resort. Due to her Master of Science degree in “Building/Civil Engineering” she previously had several technical leadership positions at Tiwi Beach Beach Resort at the South Coast of Mombasa.
“We are looking forward to a strong, dedicated couple with a vision that will enrich our team at Severin Safari Camp with its extensive expertise, consistency and peace of mind,” said CEO Sebastian Severin Schulte.
Sylvia Rasemann’s duties will focus on administration and operations, while trained chef Léon Noordermeer will bring his previous hotel experience to the kitchen and guest services.

The start of Rasemann/Noordermeer marks the end of an era at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro at the same time. For more than 10 years the German couple Manja Seifert and Jürgen Pietz have run the camp at the Tsavo River with heart and soul. Their focus always was to provide the guests with an unforgettable combination of adventure, relaxation and wellness with very personal service in the African wilderness. An indicator for the perfect implementation of this guiding principles are the numerous long friendships that Seifert/Pietz have built over the years to guests, colleagues and business partners as well as the many personal and positive guest reviews on the relevant rating portals such as HolidayCheck and Tripadvisor.
Seifert/Pietz will return to Germany after a private holiday in Kenya. Back in Europe they look for new challenge in the hotel and gastronomy sector.
“Manja and Jürgen have developed the camp into one of the leading safari accommodations in Kenya and we wish them all the best on their further journey – Safari Njema”, continues Sebastian Severin Schulte.
