Location Mvuu Lodge:

Mvuu Lodge offers a luxurious stay and an intimate getaway in a secluded wilderness setting in Liwonde National Park (one of Malawi's most prolific areas of wilderness). The Lodge overlooks a tranquil lagoon that is located just off the Shire River, in anarea that is surrounded by lush vegetation and towering Borassus palms.

Accommodation comprises eight tents, one of which is a romantic honeymoon suite. Each tent has a private deck that overlooks the water's edge. Lodge facilities include a dining room, lounge area and a swimming pool. All safari tents are on a raised deck, with paved walkways on the ground. They offer en-suite facilities with a shower, mosquito net, electronic safe and private veranda overlooking secluded lagoon. Liquid soap, shampoo & conditioner, tissue dispenser, washing powder (for smalls), umbrella, room spray and mosquito coil are supplied in each tent.

Location Mvuu Camp:

Mvuu Camp has a spectacular vantage on the banks of the Shire River in Liwonde National Park. Liwonde is a 580 sq km reserve that harbours over 400 species of birds, a dense population of hippos, crocodiles, large numbers of elephants and a variety of antelope species. There are also occasional sightings of serval, lion, leopard and black rhino in the park.

The camp, comprising 14 units as well as a nearby campsite, is a mix of spacious stone and canvas chalets and specially designed family chalets. An impressive thatched dining and lounge area offers a magnificent river vista that is framed by two large baobab trees. Dinners are sometimes held under the stars in a specially constructed boma. Each chalet offers en-suite facilities with mosquito net, private veranda and electronic safe.
