Tips before your Departure
Entry
For a stay up to 90 days, Germans and Austrians need a passport that has to be valid for at least 6 more months after leaving the country. Additionally you have to present return ticket, hotel voucher as well as enough financial means when entering. Then you will receive a visa for the planned duration of your stay. For children you will need a German children’s passport, an own passport or a child ID (with passport photo) per old sample.
Inhabitants of other countries should ask for their respective entry requirements at their responsible Embassy.
Health
Besides sunscreen and your personal first-aid kit we recommend medicine for diarrhea due to the climatic change.
When entering Mozambique through a country declared as yellow fever endemia area you need the certification of a valid yellow fever inoculation. Beyond that, no immunizations are required, but please ask your doctor or local health authority before departure.
In addition we suggest you invest in a travel health insurance, and will be happy to inform you about it.

Currency is the Seychelles Rupee.

In European winter +3 hours, is summer +2 hours.
Climate
On the Seychelles there is tropical climate with a high humidity (average of 85%). The islands offer pleasant and evened temperatures year-round but there also can be some refreshing rain showers during the whole year. The water temperatures are mainly around 29° C.
Luggage/Clothes
For your holidays on the Seychelles you should bring light and airy summer clothes, in better restaurants men have to wear long trousers in the evenings. Please also think of sturdy shoes, bathing shoes, sunscreen and sunglasses. Topless sunbathing isn’t appreciated and only accepted at the beach of Beau Vallon.
Day of Departure
Flight
The “Seychelles International Airport“ is located on the main island Mahé near the capital Victoria and can be reached with Condor once a week from Frankfurt. Additionally there are connecting flights with scheduled flights by Air Berlin/Etihad Airways, Emirates or Air Seychelles which fly vie the United Arab Emirates. From Mahé you will reach your hotel on the neighboring islands easily by boat or light aircraft.
We will be glad to advise you on prices for flights in Comfort/Business Class. For a fee of € 30, - we can reserve your preferred seat. We can also reserve a parking place at the airport in advance.
We recommend to call the airline 1-2 days before departure to let them confirm the time of departure. Please keep your passport ready for your return flight.
Security Advice
Please note that you have to be at the check-in counter of your airline at least two hours before your departure. We will be glad to send you some information on your airport. Please remember not to pack any sharp objects into your hand luggage like nail scissors etc.

Arrival
After arriving at your airport on the Seychelles you will be welcomed by your tour guide and accompanied to your hotel.
Population
On the Seychelles, Creole is the official language as well as English and French.
Security
Please deposit your money, jewellery as well as your documents in the hotel safe. Don't take too many things with you and take care of your handbag and camera. After sunset it is recommended to use a taxi instead of public means of transport.
You are only allowed to import the local currency up to an amount of 2000,00 RS (about 115,- €).
It is prohibited to take pictures of the Seychelles Army Head Quarters.

The voltage is 220 - 240 Volt alternating current. You need a three-pole adapter.
